12,000 Strong: The Alternative Is Here

Reaper Wrestling, the independent pro wrestling promotion based at The Pit in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, has passed 12,000 subscribers on YouTube. That's just over a week after the channel reached 11,000, with fans tuning in from around the world.

"Twelve thousand people chose the alternative," said Aaron York, CEO of Reaper Fitness Group, Reaper Wrestling's parent company. "Corporate wrestling is built for sponsors and TV executives. Reaper Wrestling is built for wrestling fans."

Since our first show, Original Sin, on May 23, 2025, Reaper Wrestling has done things differently. We don't chase perfect camera angles, we don't script around sponsors, and we don't water anything down. We put the best wrestlers we can find in The Pit and let them have the best matches of their lives.

"Reaper Wrestling is raw, gritty and underground, and that's on purpose," York said. "The big companies spend their energy on polish. We spend ours on the matches. If you want the best wrestling on the card instead of the best lighting, you're in the right place."

That approach has put names like Rhyno, Tommy Dreamer, Frankie Kazarian, Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin in our ring, alongside some of the hungriest talent in the world.

"Wrestling fans everywhere are tired of the over-produced corporate product," York said. "Reaper Wrestling is proof that a promotion can win by putting the matches first."
